Minnesota Wild Win Home Opener

Xcel Energy CenterThe Minnesota Wild won their home opener on Thursday night, defeating the Edmonton Oilers 4-2 in front of a sold-out crowd at the Xcel Energy Center. Mikko Koivu had 3 points, including 2 second period goals. He played exceptionally well and was the best player on the ice. It was the 9th straight home opening win at the Xcel Energy Center. The Wild will play the Columbus Blue Jackets at home on Saturday night.

On Thursday, October 14th the Minnesota Wild will play the Edmonton Oilers. It is opening night at the Xcel Energy Center so Minnesota Wild fans come out and support your team!
